The Richmond S66 is the WWII-era version of the iconic Richmond. It is made from horsehide based on the same approximately 1.8 mm-thick sandwich-finished horsehide used for the LEON, with additional oil added during the finishing process to create a richer, more lustrous appearance. Compared with the standard Richmond, the Richmond S66 offers a completely different leather texture and aging character. As the jacket is worn over time, the brown core gradually reveals itself across broader areas of the leather, creating a beautiful and distinctive patina. The Richmond S66 incorporates details inspired by WWII-era denim jackets. It features four laurel front buttons, flapless front pockets, smaller signature Richmond front pleats with larger box stitching, and BLACK stitching throughout. The side construction is inspired by vintage denim jackets and uses stitched seams rather than split seams. The back features a T-back construction with a larger back yoke. The BLACK stitching will gradually fade with wear, allowing both the stitching and leather to age beautifully together. To recreate the distinctive drape and character of a well-worn WWII-era jacket, the pattern was completely redesigned from scratch. Particular attention was given to the shoulder area so that the jacket naturally follows the shape of the shoulders, creating a very clean and stylish silhouette. And of course, it retains one of the defining characteristics of FINE CREEK LEATHERS: Despite being a substantial and heavy leather jacket, it is surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear. The lining is made from soft and comfortable cotton.
