This occurs because extra room must be left in the lining construction to prevent tightness and discomfort inside the sleeves. Wrinkle formation around the elbows differs from person to person, and as the leather ages, sleeve length changes slightly depending on how the leather creases. Because of this, there are individual differences in how much lining may appear. This detail is also inspired by vintage leather jackets, many of which naturally show portions of the lining or cupro at the sleeves.
