A true leather jacket brand built for serious vintage enthusiasts. ⸻ 🧥 Model: Oklahoma City WWII / WAPITI (Deer) This model can be described as an upgraded blanket-lined version of the legendary: FINE CREEK LEATHERS “Richmond S66.” ⸻ 🔥 Leather: WAPITI Deer The jacket uses: “WAPITI” red deer leather. Originally over 5.6mm thick at the raw hide stage, the leather is carefully reduced to approximately 2.6mm. Specifications: • Full vegetable-tanned • Drum-dyed through-core finish • High-oil-content natural finish • Extremely heavy and substantial deer leather Wapiti deer leather, similar in scale to elk leather, features: • Wild grain texture • Visible natural veins and marks • Incredible softness and moisture-rich feel • Outstanding weight and presence As the jacket is worn, the leather gradually softens and develops: • Beautiful drape • Deep luster • Richer and darker color tones • An increasingly luxurious atmosphere ⸻ 🔥 WWII Type 1 Details This jacket incorporates the details of vintage WWII-era Type 1 denim jackets: • Steel laurel leaf front buttons • Two-prong button design • Flapless chest pockets • T-back rear construction • Larger back yoke The sleeves are luxuriously made from large single pieces of Wapiti leather. One of the most impressive features is the original wool blanket lining. Actual vintage blanket linings were disassembled and analyzed in order to recreate an original wool blanket focused on comfort and authentic vintage atmosphere. To properly express the distinctive drape of a worn WWII jacket using heavy Wapiti deer leather, the entire pattern was redesigned from scratch. Although the jacket feels heavy when held in hand, once worn it naturally conforms to the body with an incredibly comfortable fit that avoids unpleasant weight. ⸻ 🦌 Updated Woven Label This model features the updated deer woven label. ⸻ 🔥 Fit & Impression Compared to the Richmond S66, the fit is slightly roomier. However, because of the wool blanket lining, the actual wearing sensation is not dramatically different. This is the first WWII-style Type 1 jacket produced in deer leather. FINE CREEK and HIGHLARGE horsehide jackets are incredible — but the deer leather version is truly outstanding as well.
