CWORKS – Scope OLIVE (Horsehide / Mouton) All Leather N-1 Deck Jacket The original vintage N-1 deck jackets were made using a tightly woven fabric known as "Jungle Cloth." By using different thicknesses of warp and weft yarns, this fabric achieves a dense weave that provides exceptional durability and wind resistance. One of the most fascinating characteristics of Jungle Cloth is how its appearance changes through friction and wear, developing a unique patina similar to leather. The fine grain, dense fiber structure, and smooth surface of high-quality horsehide share certain characteristics with this fabric. This inspired Mr. Yamazaki, the founder of FINE CREEK LEATHERS, to take on a new challenge: "Could we recreate the appearance of vintage Jungle Cloth using horsehide?" After extensive development and experimentation, this extraordinary leather was created. Specially Developed Horsehide To reproduce the distinctive olive color of vintage deck jackets, exceptional attention was paid to every stage, from color development to dyeing. The leather features: 1.1–1.2mm thick horsehide (approximately 0.043–0.047 inches) Full vegetable-tanned leather Fully dyed through to the core High oil content Fine-pitch embossed grain texture Original finishing techniques developed specifically for this leather The result is a truly unique horsehide that beautifully captures the character of vintage Jungle Cloth. Due to the high oil content, natural oil marks and variations in color appear throughout the leather. These characteristics vary from piece to piece and even between different sections of the same jacket. Rather than being imperfections, these natural variations are an essential part of the leather's unique character and vintage-inspired appearance. The leather feels exceptionally supple, rich, and smooth, almost as if it gently adheres to your hands. As you continue wearing the jacket, fine wrinkles gradually develop, while areas exposed to friction begin to show subtle fading. Over time, the jacket develops a beautiful contrast and patina that can only be achieved with genuine horsehide. Luxurious Full Mouton Lining Instead of the traditional alpaca lining found in vintage N-1 deck jackets, CWORKS has chosen something truly special! Premium FINE CREEK Mouton Sheepskin! The mouton is made from carefully selected, high-quality sheepskin. Large hides with a low degree of Merino crossbreeding and a firm structure without excessive fatty layers are selected and carefully tanned. The result is an exceptionally soft and smooth mouton that feels almost like human skin. Its beautiful wool texture provides outstanding comfort, warmth, and insulation. The mouton is carefully finished so that both the leather and wool sides offer exceptional quality. This luxurious mouton is generously used throughout the jacket's lining. Horsehide on the outside and premium mouton on the inside! It is truly a combination of a leather jacket and a mouton jacket.
