Newly Developed Horsehide Leather The Drifter is made from newly completed horsehide leather. It uses full vegetable-tanned, pigment-finished, heavily oiled horsehide with a thickness of at least 1.3mm. By intentionally reducing the surface gloss, FINE CREEK & CO has pursued a finish and texture reminiscent of suede, while also creating a leather that is comfortable and easy to wear. This brown horsehide features a beautiful tea-core character and is truly worth seeing in person. Because the leather contains a generous amount of oil, it becomes soft, durable, moist, and supple. It offers a comfortable, almost deerskin-like feel that gently conforms to the body. When pressure is applied to areas such as folds and bends, the oil moves within the leather, creating a pull-up effect. As the color changes through this pull-up process, a three-dimensional appearance develops, making the aging process especially enjoyable for the wearer. A Simple 1930s-Inspired Car Coat Although the Drifter has a 1930s-inspired design, it has been kept intentionally simple so that you can fully experience the potential and character of this leather. The leather has a substantial feel while remaining comfortable and easy to wear. As the oil pulls up and the leather develops its own shape, you can enjoy a rich and highly personal aging process.
