However, deer leather comes from animals raised naturally in the wild, which naturally results in more scratches and marks. FINE CREEK’s deer leather uses especially large hides, which are carefully selected by the tannery, and because large single hides are used, more natural scars remain visible. The brand intentionally avoids heavy pigment finishes that would hide these marks, because doing so would destroy the natural beauty and drape of deer leather.
