Inspired by vintage garments, the brand recreates timeless designs using a variety of leathers. While horsehide remains a core focus, FINE CREEK & CO is also known for its original leather recipes, including its distinctive deerhide and goatskin collections. Under Zaki-san’s philosophy that each design requires the perfect leather, texture, and finish, only carefully selected hides produced through original tanning recipes are used. From pattern making and cutting to sewing and construction, every step is handled by skilled specialists dedicated to their craft. From FINE CREEK & CO comes a leather project that Zaki-san spent several years refining. Although goatskin had been used in the past, it was completely reconsidered from the ground up. The goal was to create a goatskin leather that offers the substantial feel and aging characteristics typically associated with horsehide. The result is the new Goatskin Series, first introduced in the previous collection and now expanding into a full lineup. A must-see for leather enthusiasts. Harris Goatskin Introducing the Harris Goatskin. Based on a legendary 1940s D-pocket double riders jacket, the Harris has long been available in horsehide. To faithfully express this model in goatskin, the entire jacket was redesigned. Taking the leather's characteristics and appearance into consideration, Zaki-san completely reworked the pattern, revised the panels and details, adjusted the leather placement, rebalanced the overall silhouette, and refined the sewing specifications until he was fully satisfied with the result. The leather used is a premium 1.8mm thick full vegetable-tanned goatskin with a pigment finish. Compared to other hides, goatskin is naturally much smaller, making it difficult to produce jackets with this level of thickness and character. Thanks to the careful selection of premium full hides by the tannery, FINE CREEK & CO has achieved a remarkable balance of substance, texture, and visual appeal. As the jacket is worn, it develops deep wrinkles and dramatic aging characteristics reminiscent of FINE CREEK LEATHERS horsehide. Over time, the black finish gradually reveals the rich brown core beneath, creating an exceptional patina unique to this leather. Highly recommended.
