Expressing the concept of: “Having more fun with leather.” CWORKS【Ban Field】Deer The Ban Field is made from luxurious 1.6 mm-thick deerskin. The leather is full vegetable-tanned, dyed all the way through, and naturally finished without a heavy surface coating. The more you wear it, the deeper and richer the BLACK becomes. In particular, the raised areas of the natural grain gradually develop a beautiful sheen, allowing you to enjoy increasingly pronounced texture, distinctive grain, and natural wrinkles over time. At the same time, the leather gradually conforms to your body, creating an incredibly comfortable, almost second-skin-like wearing experience. FINE CREEK Deerskin One of the special characteristics of FINE CREEK deerskin is that the thicker areas of the hide are not shaved down simply to match the thinner areas. This preserves the natural character of the deerskin. Because of this, the thickness and texture can vary considerably between the left and right sides, front panels, back panels, and even different areas of the same garment. Personally, this is one of the details I love most. Every section of the jacket has its own unique expression—and it looks absolutely incredible!! ※ This is the same deerskin used for the Clubman Deer. Obtaining deer hides large enough to create a jacket of this size is extremely difficult. Zaki-san has mentioned that being able to produce something like this is also a testament to the incredible work and craftsmanship of the leather suppliers and tanners. Because the individual leather panels are so large, you can truly appreciate the rich and varied character of the hide. I believe even serious leather enthusiasts will appreciate the incredible presence and natural expression of this deerskin. Design The Ban Field is a trucker-style leather jacket incorporating details inspired by the classic Type III, while adding practical slash pockets. The jacket features nut buttons, giving it a calm and understated vintage appearance. However, the incredible deerskin itself immediately becomes the main focus. Simple, understated, and seriously cool!! The lining is cupro, allowing the sleeves to slide on smoothly and comfortably. Relaxed 46 / 48 Silhouette As part of the CWORKS 46 / 48 Series, the Ban Field features a deliberately relaxed and roomy silhouette. The armholes are also generously cut, giving the jacket additional volume and freedom of movement. As the deerskin gradually softens with wear, the jacket develops an even more beautiful natural drape. Wearing it relaxed and slightly off the shoulders also looks incredibly cool!! FINE CREEK LEATHERS produces trucker-style leather jackets such as the Richmond, but the Ban Field offers something completely different through the use of deerskin. About the Natural Characteristics of Deerskin Due to the nature of genuine leather, there may be natural scratches, scars, scuffs, grain variations, and other marks. Horsehide and cowhide generally come from animals raised for the food industry, so they tend to have fewer natural scars than deerskin. Deer, however, live in a natural environment during their lifetime, so their hides naturally tend to have more scratches and scars. FINE CREEK also specially asks its leather suppliers to reserve particularly large deer hides whenever they become available. Because large single pieces of leather are used—especially on an oversized jacket like the Ban Field—natural scars and variations may be more noticeable. These natural marks could be hidden by applying pigment during the tanning and finishing process. However, doing so would also hide much of the natural beauty and character of the deerskin. For this reason, FINE CREEK places great importance on preserving the leather's natural texture, softness, and beautiful drape, finishing the leather with vegetable tanning, through-dyeing, and a natural uncoated finish. I personally own many FINE CREEK deerskin products. They certainly have natural scratches and scars, but they are incredibly comfortable to wear, and the leather develops a beautiful sheen and character over time. I hope you can appreciate these natural marks as part of what makes FINE CREEK deerskin so special. Please also understand that color variation is unavoidable with this naturally finished leather.
